Survival Status
The Hector’s Dolphin is critically endangered because they get run over by boats or get killed by fishermen that leave their fishing nets in the water to catch fish or they just throw away their fishing nets and the poor dolphins get caught in the fishing nets. Fewer than 8,000 Hector's Dolphins remain on earth today.
Conservation
They have distinct black facial markings, short stocky bodies and a dorsal fin shaped like a Mickey Mouse ear.
